Giraffe Nomination Are Open in Six Categories

 WEST PALM BEACH, FEBRUARY 7, 2022 – The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County is now accepting nominations for the 26th Annual Giraffe Awards Luncheon in honor of Women’s History Month. The Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, March 24th, at the West Palm Beach Marriott. This Annual Event recognizes women in Palm Beach County who have “Stuck Their Necks Out” for other women in the community.

All women who live or work in Palm Beach County are eligible to be nominated for this year’s Award. Nominations are currently being accepted in six categories: Young Professional, Government, Nonprofit/Philanthropy, Arts/Culture, Large Business (20+ Employees), and Small Business (1 – 19 Employees), and must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24th. “We are especially excited for our 26th Anniversary this year,” said Heather Landstrom, Business Relationship Manager at Guardians Credit Union and President of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. “This is a way to recognize those women who selflessly help others.” This year’s Luncheon will bring a new twist to the Annual Event with entertainment, honoring past recipients, a drawing, and celebrating women of all ages. Emmy Award-Winning TV news veteran, Toni Arpaia May, is the Event’s emcee. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $600.00 and include invitations to all Events.

A special VIP Event will be held prior to the Luncheon at the National Croquet Center on March 2nd to honor this year’s nominees and to thank our sponsors. The Event, co-chaired by Angela Manfredi of Legends Radio and Women’s Chamber Past President LeAnna Carey, will showcase a musical performance by Honorary Chair and previous Giraffe Award Winner Dawn Marie Basham.

“Now in its 26th year, the Giraffe Awards is the centerpiece of the Chamber’s celebration of Women’s History Month. The VIP Reception will take place on March 2nd at the beautiful National Croquet Center at 5:30 p.m., and the Giraffe Awards Luncheon on March 24th at the Marriott West Palm Beach 11:00 a.m. We are thrilled to celebrate and honor exceptional women in our community,” said Event Co-Chair Michelle Beckman, Tax and Accounting Manager with The Fuoco Group.
